Your Day-to-Day: The Superintendent reports to the Construction Manager of the project and serves as the eyes and ears" in the field. Persons performing in this role are responsible for the success of the project at the field level.
Per Diem is available. Project Type: 345 kV Transmission Line.
Preconstruction - Read and understand the contractor's Safety Plan (we use their plan)
- Know the Scope of Work from the contract (A-1, A-2)
- Attend the kickoff meetings
- Attend the site-specific orientation (contractor should host this)
- Fill out QA/QC documents in Unifier
- Read and understand the permits, Road use Agreements, Crossing Agreements, SWPPP, haul routes, drawings, materials, and schedules
Construction - Develop a good relationship with the contractor
- Be engaged in the project
- Safety (keep them safe)
- Quality Project (know the specs and drawings) (rework increases Safety Risk)
Reporting - Reports must be 100% accurate as this information is shared up the management chain all the way to the executive VP
- Gathered data may need to be used in change order disputes
- Reports to the Construction Manager need to meet their expectations
- Construction Manager will determine the Superintendent interaction with the Addition resources
- Environmental, ISC, Safety Team, SME's, Land Agents
Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: - High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Demonstrate a positive approach and willingness to get work done in a timely manner.
- Develop good relationships and be engaged with the crews.
- Spend the majority of time in the field ensuring safety, quality, and environmental oversight.
- Track production daily (80% field and 20% computer).
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
