Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry, located in Irvine, California. As part of your role, you will be executing a variety of accounting tasks, including the management of accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring accurate record-keeping and efficient financial operations. Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness - Handle accounts payable, including 3-way match, to ensure accurate accounting records - Perform journal entries to maintain the general ledger system - Conduct month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data has been recorded and reconciled - Review and reconcile inventory accounts for accuracy - Review and process travel expense submissions using Concur Expense - Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel to perform various accounting tasks - Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions to address any issues - Work closely with the Accounting Manager/Controller and a team of 5 to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting - Adhere to a detail-oriented workplace environment, maintaining focus and productivity. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field - A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable or Staff Accountant role - Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) - Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations - Demonstrated knowledge of General Ledger operations - Proficiency in creating and maintaining Journal Entries - Experience with Month End Close procedures - Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks - Experience using Concur Expense for expense management - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently - Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new accounting practices and technologies.
