Job Description and Duties

This position may be filled at one of the following State Fund locations: Fresno, Redding or Vacaville. 

The Claims Processing Center - Claims Customer Service Center has an immediate opening for a Senior Customer Service Specialist at the Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster level. This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated individual with strong analytical and communication skills to provide expert guidance in support of customer service efficiency and effectiveness. The position will primarily allow the selected candidate to work from home but there may be occasional travel for meetings, presentations, and training.

The following is a brief outline of the duties of the Senior Claims Adjuster as envisioned by the management team:

  • Serve as SME resource and provide guidance to the staff to include the handling of escalated calls and responding to written customer inquiries
  • Identify trends and make recommendations for training and/or adjustments within workflow to increase operational efficiency
  • Prepare project reports, job aids, reference materials, and memos
  • Develop, analyze, maintain, and present statistical data for various management reports and make recommendations
