Medical Assistant - Broadway Plastic Surgery.

Location: Denver, CO.
Reports To: Practice Manager / Clinical Providers.
Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt.

Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a critical support role at Broadway Plastic Surgery by assisting providers in both clinical and administrative capacities. This role ensures that patients receive high-quality care through efficient rooming, accurate documentation, and exceptional support throughout their visit. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, and comfortable in both surgical and aesthetic settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Support:

  • Room patients, take vital signs, and update electronic medical records (Nextech).
  • Assist with minor procedures, suture removals, and dressing changes.
  • Prepare exam rooms, ensure equipment is sanitized, and stock medical supplies.


Provider Assistance:

  • Support surgeons, NPs, and RNs during consultations and treatments.
  • Provide patient education regarding procedures, medications, and post-op care.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and providers for follow-up questions or concerns.


Administrative Tasks:

  • Answer patient phone calls and portal messages related to care.
  • Manage prescription refills, lab result follow-up, and documentation.
  • Ensure lab specimens are labeled and prepared for transport.


Inventory & Maintenance:

  • Monitor stock levels for clinical supplies and communicate restocking needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all clinical spaces.
  • Ensure biohazard disposal and infection control protocols are followed.


Required Qualifications:

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • 1+ year experience in a clinical or surgical setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with patients and providers.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or aesthetic medicine.
  • Knowledge of EMR systems, preferably Nextech.
  • Familiarity with post-op wound care and aesthetic treatments.


Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, on-site role in a fast-paced medical and surgical environment.
  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and patient interaction.
  • Use of PPE and exposure to clinical procedures and supplies.
