Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in La Mirada, California. This role involves providing administrative support to the HR department and ensuring smooth operations of HR functions. Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining employee records and documentation.
- Assist with recruitment activities, such as coordinating interviews and managing applicant tracking systems.
- Process payroll and benefits administration using tools like ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian.
- Conduct background checks and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Help implement and maintain HR management systems to streamline operations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Monitor and audit HR processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in onboarding new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork and training are completed.
- Support the development and execution of employee engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to align HR practices with organizational goals. Requirements - Proficiency in HR software such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and other HRMS tools.
- Experience in performing background checks and handling benefits administration.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with employees and management.
- Knowledge of auditing HR processes and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
