Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Burlingame, California. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to essential HR functions while supporting employees and maintaining accurate documentation. The position is ideal for individuals with HR experience or those eager to gain valuable exposure in the field. Responsibilities: - Conduct and verify I-9 documentation for new hires using HireRight. - Organize and electronically file employee records to ensure compliance and accessibility. - Provide guidance to new employees on HR-related inquiries and processes. - Assist employees in signing up for direct deposit systems and entering hours and benefits. - Input employee information into internal HR systems with accuracy and efficiency. - Support employees with troubleshooting and resolving questions related to HR systems. - Facilitate onboarding processes by helping employees navigate benefits enrollment. - Offer general administrative assistance to the HR department as needed. Requirements - Minimum of 6 months of experience in HR, including I-9 processing. - Familiarity with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or similar platforms. - Strong organizational and customer service skills. - Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin or Spanish is highly preferred. - Ability to work well under pressure and maintain attention to detail. - Open to recent graduates with sharp interpersonal skills and a desire to learn HR practices. - Experience with background checks, benefits enrollment, and record auditing is a plus.
