Position Overview

Manage operations and sales for equipment rental business. Responsible for ordering of rental equipment, insuring proper maintenance of equipment, manage sales channel, manage administration of business, proper invoicing, work in conjunction with existing sales force to meet budgetary goals.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Meet or exceed established operational and financial performance goals
  • Coordinate process to initiate equipment rental including credit approval from accounting
  • Manage administrative personnel to ensure proper invoicing and payment
  • Arrange transportation and delivery process
  • Abide by and enforce Company sales policies and procedures
  • Maintain effective working relationships with customer accounts, dealer and branch personnel
  • Utilize Valley CRM, prospect lists and other customer information to promote sales
  • Ensure maximum gross profits are quoted and maintained
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and availability and adjusting rental product mix as market trends dictate
  • Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of rental equipment
  • Informs Senior Management of business, market and customer trends
  • Provides KPI reporting as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Thorough knowledge of sales policies, programs, procedures, products and customer relations
  • Proven ability to drive sales through others
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are involved
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to organize and plan effectively
  • Hardworking, persistent and dependable
  • Positive and enthusiastic

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree - preferred; business and marketing major preferred
  • Three to five years in a rental management role; within industry preferred
  • Previous sales experience is required
  • Experience managing a sales team across different areas

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires frequent communication with customers
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the office to access files, office machinery, etc
  • Operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, fax machine and computer printer
  • Position requires traveling; which would mean sitting for long periods of time
